Estelle opened Brighton Beach Dental in 2008 with the aim of bringing state-of-the-art dentistry services to Perth’s northern suburbs. Having four children of her own, Dr Swart understands the importance of developing good dental health habits early in life. In order to change the perception of dentistry that many people have grown up with she has created a family dental practice with a warm, friendly and calming atmosphere. But Brighton Beach Dental offers much more. Not only do they have state-of-the-art equipment to reduce discomfort and treatment time, Dr Swart also specialises in a range of cosmetic dentistry areas such as teeth whitening, veneers, crown & bridge, Invisalign Orthodontic System & Progressive Orthodontic System!
Richard joined Brighton Beach Dental in 2014. Richard or "Dr Dick" is very well known in the northern suburbs of Perth as he previously owned dental practices in Kinross and Currambine. In his spare time, Richard enjoys travel, spending time at "Rotto" with his family and is quite a coffee connoisseur!
Dr Carika Rossouw qualified at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1999. She emigrated with her husband and 2 sons to Australia in 2011 where she began working for the Pacific Smiles Group and also for a private practice in Newcastle, NSW. Carika then moved to WA in 2015 working at a dental practice in Geraldton before joining the Brighton Beach Dental team in early 2017. Carika enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is particularly patient when it comes to explaining treatment to an adult patient or young child. One interesting fact about Carika is that she managed to save a ( sedated) one year old leopard’s molar tooth by completing a Root Canal Therapy.
The word “doctor” originated from the Latin verb docēre, meaning ‘to explain’, which Brian never gets tired of. Grew up in Perth, Brian is a dynamic dentist, who earned his dental degree in Queensland. He prides himself on his painless injection approach and practices dentistry based on love, trust and respect. Brian is an active member of the Australian Dental Association, and an examiner for the Australian Dental Council in 2017. When he isn’t learning about new treatment options to improve patient‘s experience, he enjoys practicing yoga and spending his spare time with family. Having lived and travelled around the world, Brian can speak Mandarin and Taiwanese.
Having worked in the dental industry in the UK for a number of years, Val decided to undertake her training as a Dental Assistant with Dental Nursing Australia after she moved to Australia in 2008.Val has been a Dental Assistant at Brighton Beach Dental since 2009. She enjoys interacting with people and her aim is to make your visit as pleasant and as comfortable as possible.
Mary Ann joined the Brighton Beach Dental team in June 2014 as a full time Dental Assistant. A Phillipine trained Dentist, she shifted to Dental Assisting in 2009 when she moved to Perth, where she now lives with her husband and their daughter. She is happy to be a part of Brighton Beach Dental’s friendly team and enjoys contributing to their quality patient care.
Marjan joined the Brighton Beach Dental team in 2014 as a Dental Assistant and predominantly assists Dr Richard Slattery. Previously Marjan worked as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice in Cannington, WA for 2 years. Prior to emigrating to Australia from Iran, Marjan worked in an administrative/accounting role in various areas in a large hospital. Marjan enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 beautiful young children Cecilia and Cian and in the very little spare time she has left she enjoys going to the gym.
Amanda joined the Brighton Beach Dental team in 2017. Until recently Amanda has worked voluntarily in the local community as a Surf Lifesaver, Unit Leader of the Girl Guides, co-ordinated the fast For Word Literacy Program all whilst running a local family operated pest control business with husband Geof since 1997.Working part time at Brighton Beach Dental brightens Amanda's day and keeps her enthusiastic about her chosen vocation. In anything she pursues, Amanda likes to be immersed in a positive friendly, professional and enthusiastic environment.
Alrie is the Practice Manager at Brighton Beach Dental and she joined the team in 2015. She has recently completed her Dental Assistants Certificate 4 and previously worked as a Business Analyst Programmer for an IT company in Perth. Alrie enjoys spending her time away from work with her husband and 2 young sons.
Born and raised in sunny South Africa, Rene' and her family made their move to Australia in 2011, ready to begin their new life "down under". She is married to a wonderful man and is a mother to two handsome boys - she says she is not biased, she just loves her family to bits! Rene' has always been involved in administration, particularly focussing on customer service. Previously, she worked in a dental practice in Sydney for 18 months where she was introduced and trained in front office for dental. Rene' moved to Perth in Dec 2013 where she continued her dental journey and joined us in December 2017. Rene' loves meeting and chatting to our patients, old and new, and hopes to make their experience with us as comfortable, efficient and enjoyable as possible.
